ADVANCED PLACEMENT TEACHER INVESTMENT PROGRAM
Equipping Teachers. Expanding Opportunity to Students.
WHO WE ARE
The Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program (AP-TIP) is a non-profit program of the Institute for Educational Initiatives and the Center for STEM Education at the University of Notre Dame.
Through a long-standing commitment to providing high-quality professional development opportunities and a robust professional community for teachers and their school’s leaders, the Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program empowers educators to create accessible and challenging learning environments that advance all students’ readiness for college, career, and life.
Since its inception in 2012, AP-TIP has worked primarily with schools across Indiana to support both teacher and student success in AP math, science, and English courses. However, the benefits of a dynamic network are not program-exclusive.
In the 2025-2026 school year, we welcomed our first cohort of both AP and Dual Credit teachers, better meeting our goal to advance access, opportunity, and post-secondary readiness for all students through our partnership with teachers and school leaders.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

WHAT WE DO
Teacher development is foundational to student outcomes. As we pursue career and college readiness for Indiana’s students, AP-TIP is committed to providing high-quality professional development opportunities for classroom educators.

WHERE WE SERVE
AP-TIP increases academic opportunities and outcomes for students across Indiana. Program participants, past and present, represent the diversity of school types and school demographics: urban, suburban, and rural districts are represented, as well as public, public charter, and private schools. Our APECS program extension partners with Catholic schools around the country. View the map below to see where we work.
