Applicants can expect to receive notice of their acceptance or deferral by April 2027.

  • If you are extended an offer to join APECS Cohort D and accept the invitation, you will be provided a Letter of Support to share with your administration. This letter must be signed to approve your participation in the program

Additional Information

There is no cost for a teacher to apply to or join APECS.

Attedance at the Summer Institute in July 2027 is required for a teacher to be a part of Cohort D.

Fall and spring semester events are organized by content area and scheduled on different days within the same week. This is to minimize the number of program teachers away from their classrooms on any given day, should a school have more than one teacher participating in the same APECS cohort. Schools are asked to provide substitute teachers for participating staff.

Teachers who participate in both online and in-person events receive a stipend and have the option to earn PGPs. For in-person events, teachers are also eligible for travel funds (flight or mileage reimbursement) and a single-occupancy hotel room if their one-way drive to the event exceeds one hour. Teachers who stay overnight in the hotel receive a per diem for meals.
